The Best Airbnbs & Vacation Rentals in Ostuni: Charming Stays in Italy’s White City
Last Updated on March 24, 2026 by Lauren Belzer Sanford
Ostuni holds a very special place in our hearts — it’s where Max and I were married, where we wandered whitewashed alleys at golden hour, and where I fell completely and irrevocably in love with Puglia. And while the city itself is pure magic, no matter where you rest your head, where you stay genuinely shapes the experience. The right vacation rental in Ostuni means stepping outside your front door directly into the rhythm of the White City — or retreating to a trullo in the countryside with an infinity pool and nothing but olive trees for miles.
Whether you want to be right in the heart of the historic center or tucked into the quiet of the Valle d’Itria countryside, Ostuni has a vacation rental for every kind of traveler. Most of these properties are bookable on both Airbnb and Vrbo (or even Booking.com), so I’ve included links to various booking options where available — because options are always a good thing. Here are the best stays we found, for couples, families, and groups of every size.
While I haven’t personally stayed at every property on this list, each one was hand-picked for its dreamy decor, great location, thoughtful amenities, and glowing guest reviews.
Why a Vacation Rental?
Choosing a vacation rental in Ostuni over a hotel can actually make a lot of sense here. The historic center is compact and walkable, which means a well-located apartment puts you in the experience rather than adjacent to it. And if you venture into the countryside, a private trullo or villa with a pool gives you the kind of unhurried, sun-soaked base that makes Puglia feel like a true escape. For those watching their budget without sacrificing atmosphere, Ostuni’s vacation rentals also tend to offer significantly more space and character per euro than a standard hotel room. Le Dimore del Tempo Perso Terrae Globus
2 guests · 1 bedroom · 1 bath
If what you want is to be genuinely in Ostuni — not near it, not adjacent to it, but right in the thick of its winding alleys and candlelit trattorias — this is your spot. We stayed here for two nights and left completely happy with the price and the location. It’s not the most polished rental on this list. Still, it more than makes up for it in location: steps from La Gilda, Taverna della Gelosia, and Il Posto Affianco, and directly across from the legendary Osteria del Tempo Perso. Borgo Antico Bistrot is a short stroll away, too. One thing to know going in: Ostuni is a hill city, and there’s no getting around the steps — every direction involves a climb. Embrace it. It’s part of the charm.
Palazzo Bergamotti N.3
2 guests · 1 bedroom · 1 bath
This one has been on my radar since long before we even started planning our wedding in Puglia — and it’s not hard to see why. Palazzo Bergamotti N.3 is one of those stays that photographs beautifully and delivers on arrival: thoughtfully decorated, full of character, and positioned right in the heart of the White City with everything walkable from the front door. It was unavailable for our dates, which was genuinely disappointing. If it’s open for yours, don’t wait for it.
Lamia Cervone
2 guests · 1 bedroom · 1 bath
Made for two. Lamia Cervone is the kind of place you book when the whole point of the trip is to slow down — a secluded countryside retreat with a small pool, lounge chairs, and an outdoor sitting area built for long, unhurried afternoons. It’s romantic in the quietest, most effortless way. Honeymooners, anniversaries, or anyone who just needs a proper reset: this one is for you.
CA ‘milla Suite Home
2 guests · 1 bedroom · 1 bath
Light-filled, centrally located, and genuinely charming — CA ‘milla Suite Home was the one that almost got away from us. We went back to officially book it, and it was already gone. The interior is lovely, but what really makes it practical is everything else: a patio for morning coffee, free street parking, and a pet-friendly policy that’s rare to find in a city-center rental. If you’re traveling with a dog (or just appreciate a place that thought of everything), this one is worth bookmarking the moment you see your dates are open.
Alesia Luxury Suite Ostuni
3 guests · 1 bedroom · 2 beds · 1 bath
Centrally located and refined in all the right ways, Alesia Luxury Suite lives up to its name without being fussy about it. The interior is polished and inviting, the location puts you steps from the Sant’Oronzo Column and the heart of Ostuni’s main promenade, and it comfortably fits up to three guests — making it a great option for a family with a small child or a trio of friends who want something a step above a standard rental.
If you need space for more than just two guests, I recommend checking out these Airbnbs in Ostuni, depending on the size of your group:
Casa degli Aragonesi
4 guests · 2 bedrooms · 2 beds · 2 baths
A beautifully restored historic home tucked into the heart of Ostuni’s old town, steps from the main square. Spread across two floors, Casa degli Aragonesi has two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen with an island, a dining room with a balcony, and a cozy lounge with built-in sofas. But the rooftop terrace is the real reason to book it — wide views over the White City, perfect for a slow evening aperitivo as the sky goes orange. This is the kind of place where a group of four books and then never wants to leave.
The Seven Cones – Trullo Edera
4 guests · 1 bedroom · 1 bed · 1 bath
Technically within Ostuni’s orbit, though slightly closer to the charming town of Cisternino, which honestly makes it even better as a base if you’re planning to explore the Valle d’Itria. Trullo Edera is exactly what you picture when you imagine a Puglia countryside stay: a cone-capped trullo, a pool, and a gorgeous outdoor area perfectly suited for slow mornings over coffee and long evenings over homemade dinners. Fairytale vibes, entirely delivered.
Villa Quercia Puglia
6 guests · 3 bedrooms · 3 beds · 2 baths
Modern, sleek, and quietly spectacular — Villa Quercia Puglia is what you book when the group wants to feel like they’ve completely left the world behind. About 15 minutes from Ostuni toward Ceglie Messapica, it sits in the kind of countryside quiet that only Puglia seems to do: surrounded by ancient olive trees, with an infinity pool that seems to pour right into the landscape. Three bedrooms, clean lines, and a design sensibility that feels intentional rather than generic. For six people splitting the cost, this is exceptional value.
Villa Amureè
6 guests · 3 bedrooms · 3 beds · 3.5 baths
This one stopped me mid-scroll the moment I found it on Instagram, and honestly, it hasn’t left my mind since. Villa Amureè is a private oasis tucked among ancient olive trees between Ostuni and the Adriatic — the kind of place that makes you want to do absolutely nothing, and feel completely good about it.
Three independent suites each come with their own private bathroom and outdoor spaces, including open-air showers that feel like something out of a dream. The outdoor living areas are what really set it apart: a shaded pergola, a lounge area with sofas, a wood-fired BBQ, and a stone dining table for long al fresco dinners — and anchoring it all, an infinity pool treated with sea salt that practically melts into the countryside. Heated pool option available on request, and yes, it is absolutely worth it.
It sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms, making it a gorgeous option for a small group of friends or a multi-couple trip back to Puglia (someone please take me up on this).
Terra Quieta
8 guests · 4 bedrooms · 5 beds · 3 baths
I need to convince a group of our closest friends to come back to Puglia with us, specifically for this one. Terra Quieta is the kind of property that makes you understand why people return to the same place year after year — a beautifully restored four-cone trullo paired with a modern stone villa, sitting on grounds filled with centuries-old olive trees, almond and fig groves, and the particular stillness that only the Puglia countryside delivers. The trullo itself is the master suite: a cozy sitting area, an additional niche bed, and walls that have seen hundreds of years of southern Italian life. The villa, built entirely from tuff and local stone, opens onto panoramic countryside views and connects to a garden, rooftop terraces, and an infinity pool that genuinely seems to melt into the landscape. When you book Terra Quieta, the whole property is yours — complete privacy, no shared walls, nothing but the sound of the countryside. This is the one I keep coming back to.
Masseria Silentio
8 guests · 3 bedrooms · 8 beds · 3 baths
I found Masseria Silentio after we were already home, which is genuinely one of my most painful post-trip discoveries. It’s been sitting in my saved list ever since. What gets me about it isn’t any single feature — it’s the feeling. The decor has that quality of something collected over time rather than curated all at once, and if you know the difference, you know exactly what that does to a space. It feels lived-in and personal and full of character in a way that most vacation rentals never manage. Add a pool, a kitchen built for slow homemade dinners, and a countryside setting practically designed for long evenings with rosato and your favorite people — and I genuinely cannot wait to come back to Puglia just to stay here.
No matter where you choose to stay in Ostuni — a vacation rental tucked into the winding streets of the White City, a trullo in the Valle d’Itria countryside, or a masseria hotel for something truly special — you really can’t go wrong. Ostuni is the kind of place that gives back whatever energy you bring to it. Arrive slowly, stay a little longer than planned, and let it work its magic.
If you’re still deciding on the best area to base yourself for your Puglia trip overall, my Where to Stay in Puglia guide covers the full picture — boutique hotels, masserias, and the best towns to consider across the region. And if Polignano a Mare is on your itinerary too, I’ve rounded up the best vacation rentals in Polignano a Mare as well.
