Spread over three levels, the home features a cozy living area with a balcony that peeks out toward the Adriatic Sea, a compact kitchenette for simple meals, and a serene double bedroom accented with blue cement tiles reminiscent of the colors of the water below. If you want to stay right in the heart of Polignano a Mare’s historic center, Far Niente puts you in the middle of it all. Tucked along Via Roma, the main street lined with whitewashed alleys, artisan shops, and cozy trattorias, this bright and recently renovated home blends traditional Apulian charm with modern comfort.

Inside, you’ll find a double bedroom, a sleek bathroom, and a light-filled living space with a pull-out sofa. While the home is listed for up to four guests, it’s best suited for two, or for a family with little ones who can cozy up on the sofa bed. Two private balconies overlook the lively streets below, perfect for morning espresso or an aperitivo as the sun dips down!

When I say it is perfectly located, I mean it is perfectly located. From Far Niente, you’re just a short stroll to Lama Monachile, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, and countless sea-view terraces.

Dimora Merlata Suite

For a front-row seat to one of Puglia’s most iconic views, Dimora Merlata Suite delivers. This lovely apartment sits right above the dramatic cliffs of Lama Monachile, with a balcony that frames the postcard-perfect stone bridge and sparkly water below.

Inside, there’s plenty of room to spread out, with two bedrooms (one tucked away on the lower level via a spiral staircase), two sleek bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bright living area with sea views. A second spiral staircase leads to the suite’s private rooftop terrace overlooking Polignano’s main square — a great spot for morning cappuccinos or watching the town come alive at night. Even though we only needed space for two, it was still one of my favorite Airbnbs when we conducted our search, but unfortunately booked up before I could come back to it to reconsider. With its sunlit rooftop terrace and sweeping sea views, this beautifully restored home retains the character of an ancient village house: whitewashed walls, arched doorways, and charming details, all while offering the comfort of two private suites – each with its own en-suite bathroom.

The rooftop, fully equipped for lounging or dining, is the real showstopper. Located on a peaceful street in the heart of the historic center, you’re just steps from Lama Monachile and Cala Paura beach, too!

TD Casa Fusella
