It’s no secret that Puglia stole my heart. Honestly, it could take every last dollar in my bank account and I’d have no regrets. When it comes to luxury hotels in Puglia, the options are as varied as the region itself: rustic masserie, design-forward palazzi, and resort villages that feel like their own little world.
We got married in the countryside outside Ostuni in June 2025 and stayed on in Puglia afterward, so I’ve spent real time in this corner of Italy. I haven’t stayed at the four hotels below. These are the ones everyone whispers about, bookmarks for someday, and saves for a milestone, and I’ve researched each one closely enough to know exactly which kind of trip it’s for. The short answer: Borgo Egnazia is the most luxurious hotel in Puglia and the definitive splurge, especially for a honeymoon. Masseria Torre Maizza, a Rocco Forte hotel down the road, is the more intimate luxury pick. For luxury inside a walkable town, Paragon 700 in Ostuni; for art and architecture in the far south, Palazzo Daniele.
Borgo Egnazia – Savelletri di Fasano
If one resort defines what Puglia is capable of, it’s Borgo Egnazia. Set between Apulian olive groves and the Adriatic, this white-stone “village” feels like stepping onto a film set: soft light, candlelit courtyards, and the kind of architectural detail that makes you want to wander for hours.
Suites and villas come with private terraces, plunge pools, or walled gardens. If you want resort-level luxury that still holds on to traditional Apulian charm, this is the place. It’s Puglia’s most famous splurge for a reason (Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel married here), and if you want a pinch-me stay, this is it. It’s luxurious in a lighter, more effortless way than Borgo Egnazia, just down the road: equally special, with a more intimate, boutique feel.

Palazzo Daniele – Gagliano del Capo
For the traveler who loves art, architecture, and refined minimalism, Palazzo Daniele is pure magic. It’s set inside an 1861 aristocratic palazzo in the heart of Salento, the southern tip of Puglia, and staying there is a bit like living inside a museum.
We didn’t make it this far south on our wedding trip (a day trip to Lecce was as far as we got), but this is the stay I keep coming back to in my mind. We got married just outside it at a masseria, so coming back feels less like a maybe and more like a when.
Paragon 700 is a restored 18th-century palazzo and the only red building in the White City, and every inch of it is dramatic, eclectic, and full of character: bold interiors, restored frescoes, soaring ceilings, curated vintage pieces, and moody lighting that turns every room into a moment. The garden and pool are rare for a city hotel (the property sits on the lower edge of the historic center), and the subterranean spa, set inside an ancient cistern, is worth the stay on its own.

Book early for June and September: These are the sweet-spot months, and the top suites go first.
